Geometry
The focus of the Geometry online course is to provide students with applications of Algebra 1 and general mathematical reasoning skills. This course will also prepare students for skills needed in future mathematical courses. Students will learn a variety of topics in Geometry. Some of the topics begin with a review of the middle school mathematics curriculum or Algebra 1 curriculum, but it should be noted that these topics do become more challenging as the module progresses. During the course, students complete practice problems using the formulas and reasoning skills developed in each lesson and then complete assessments to test their knowledge. As with any mathematics course, long breaks away from the course content can prove to be detrimental to student progress as many of the topics continue to build from one module to the next. So, even though a module may be completed, students may find that they are applying skills from earlier modules throughout the entire course.
